Hello, I am Patrick De Koster from the Netherlands. I am 25 years old and I play poker now for four years. I used to teach tennis, but I had to stop because of an injury. Meanwhile I started to play poker. Now that I am in the 888 poker team I hope I still can improve my game.
The competition’s “home” is my.888poker.com and the details can be found here: http://my.888poker.com/go/thread/view/111158/27183429/sit-n-share---888poker-pokercam-competition ... Read more
World Series Of Poker; what else is there to say! (05.07.10)Hi Folks, After Dublin we are back on the road with Team888. And this time we're gonna make Las Vegas tremble on its feet. This is my 4th time in Las Vegas and i love i every single time. The hotel in which were staying is great. Its by far the best one ive ever stayed in. An hour after we arrived we met up with the other 888-team-players in a restaurant to catch up. It was a fantastic dinner. After dinner i went straight to bed because the next day i had to play the first tournament. A 1k WSOP-event. ... Read more
Start of the Tournament (04.04.10)Friday at 15:30 the tournament started. At first sight the table looked pretty good. The average age was about 40, and normally im not really impressed with the quality of play from "elder" people. What was a little frustrating though that after about 20minutes i found out that the most 2 active players were on my left, and the more tight/passive ones on my right. Startingstack of the tournament was 10k, and within the first half hour i worked my stack up to 14k. In level 3 came a fatal hand, I lost almost all my chips; ... Read more
Dublin Irish Open Day1 (02.04.10)Finally here we are in Dublin! and I have to say i was not the least suprised that it was raining coming out of the airportterminal:). From the airport we took a taxi to the hotel. That night we meet up with all the 888-teammembers at the hotelbar and after a few drinks we had a big 888-diner. The next day the whole team went to the Guiness-Factory located here in Dublin, after that we went to a typical Irish Pub and got introduced to Irish dancing and singing. It was hilarious. ... Dublin, here I come (21.03.10)Exciting times coming up! Everything is arranged for the upcoming tournament in Dublin, so that will be the next major tournament for the 888-Team. Dublin has a decent amount of attendees, so the prizemoney will be very interesting. Something to compete for, for sure! My last tournament in Australia didn't have the outcome I hoped for, although I played very decent. I just didn't win the showdowns where I was ahead, when it really mattered. Tournament poker can be pretty brutal sometimes. ... Read more
day 2 main event (29.01.10)I started the day with 56k chips, quite a bit above average, so i had a good feeling going into day2. My table looked fine; a lot of older people which normally is a good sign, as they play pretty passive. Within the first half hour i got Kings allin against a shorter stack which had AJs, unfortunately he made runner runner straight which lost me a 38k pot.. Still i felt ok because i had 40k chips left in the 500/1k level. ... Read more
day 1c at tournament (26.01.10)It was a very long day and i feel very tired. And i am looking forward to some rest. Finished with 56000 on chips. I feel bad about knocking David out of the tournament. The whole table was full of donks except for Tyler and David. I hope i get a bigname player at my table tomorrow. I had duck for diner and it seems to given me wings coz i doubled my chipstack and felt strong after it. today i had aces for four times but only once action on it and unfortunately it was againts David. Today i played very well but i think i made one bad dicision. I made 1 bad call in the last level.... Read more
